Quick answer
Zurich Biotech ships lyophilized research peptides to Bekasi City and Bekasi Regency. Parcels use the same Greater Jakarta courier network described in the Jakarta guide, and delivery is usually one to two business days.
Every order includes a Certificate of Analysis. Before accepting a lot, compare its lot number and purity line with the vial label, as explained in the COA guide.
Bekasi City and Bekasi Regency are different addresses
Bekasi City is a self-governing city in West Java on the eastern edge of Jakarta. Bekasi Regency is a separate local government that surrounds it and has its seat at Cikarang, roughly 35 km further east. The regency holds large industrial estates such as Jababeka and MM2100.
A label that says only "Bekasi" can send a parcel to the wrong depot. Write the district (kecamatan), the postal code and a map pin, and name a person at laboratory or factory addresses. Industrial estates usually require a visitor registration at the gate, so ask security where couriers may drop parcels before dispatch.
Import rules in brief
BPOM, the Indonesian food and drug regulator, publishes its rules for products without a domestic marketing authorization on its official site. Research use goes through the Special Access Scheme. Zurich Biotech states that this authorization sits with it as the importing entity, so a Bekasi buyer receives a product already covered by it.
Institutional rules are separate. A university, hospital or factory laboratory still needs its own procurement approval and, where animals or human samples are involved, ethics review. Those steps, not customs, are the usual cause of delay.
Heat and humidity in lowland West Java
Bekasi is a flat, hot and humid lowland. A courier van, a warehouse bay or an unairconditioned storeroom can sit well above the temperatures at which lyophilized peptide holds up.
An FDA laboratory study used lyophilized human secretin as a model peptide hormone and stored it at -20 C, 4 C, 25 C and 25 C with 60% relative humidity for eight weeks. Secretin concentration fell 20 to 27% by week 8, and particulates and longer reconstitution times appeared (Srinivasan et al., Int J Pharm 2015). Other peptides behave differently, but a Bekasi storeroom can easily reach the warm, humid end of that range.
The Clinical Chemistry consensus recommendations on peptide handling (Hoofnagle et al., Clin Chem 2016) say long-term storage beyond 6 months works best with lyophilized peptide at -20 to -80 C. They also say to bring the powder to room temperature in a desiccator before reconstituting, so it does not absorb water. In humid air this step matters, because moisture condenses on a cold vial the moment the seal is opened. The guide to lyophilized peptide storage in tropical climates covers desiccants and shelf life by compound type.
Flood planning
Flooding is a documented local hazard. On 31 December 2019 the BMKG weather station at Jatiasih in Bekasi recorded 259 mm of rain in a day. A section of the Bekasi River embankment burst in the Kemang Pratama housing complex and water filled the streets waist-deep (The Jakarta Post, 2 January 2020).
Local reports from 1 January 2020 describe the East Bekasi underpass impassable after a river overflowed, and water around one meter deep in North Bekasi (Medcom.id, 2020). Roads closing for a day or two is the realistic effect on deliveries.
For storage, keep vials and the freezer above floor level, and keep the COA copy somewhere that will not soak. A freezer that loses power during a flood warms toward room temperature, which is the excursion the secretin study tested. The cold chain shipping guide explains what happens to parcels in transit.
Small orders limit exposure. A vial that stays sealed in its original packaging until needed has lost less than one in an opened, repeatedly thawed pack, and the freeze-thaw guide explains why aliquoting beats repeated warming.
Receiving and logging a parcel
On receipt, check that the seal is intact and that the lot number on the vial matches the Certificate of Analysis. Record the arrival time in the lab log and move the vials into cold storage promptly.
Photograph any damaged packaging before opening it, so a courier claim has evidence behind it. During the rainy season, note whether the outer box was wet on arrival.
Keep the COA with the vials, not in a separate folder. When a result looks odd months later, the lot number and test date are the first things anyone will ask for.
Research peptides Bekasi buyers ask about
Enquiries follow the national pattern, with tissue-repair and metabolic compounds near the top. The compound catalog lists the full range. The BPC-157 overview and the retatrutide overview are common starting points, and both state where the evidence is limited to animal models or early-phase trials.
For reconstitution volumes and syringe units in laboratory planning, the peptide dosing calculator handles the arithmetic for standard vial sizes. It is a math tool and gives no guidance on human use.
